The Mercury Comet was an automobile produced by the Mercury division of the Ford Motor Company between 1960 and 1977. Changes in its design and marketing strategy resulted in the Comet being classified as either a compact or an intermediate-sized car during the seventeen years that the Comet name was used.

The Mercedes-Benz 300SL is a two-seat, closed sports car with characteristic gull-wing doors, and later, offered as an open roadster. It was also given the name "Widowmaker" because many male drivers died when crashing their 300SLs.

Built by Daimler-Benz AG and internally numbered W198, the road version of 1952 was based (somewhat loosely) on the company's highly successful competition-only sports car of 1950, the Mercedes-Benz 300SL (W194) which had less power, as it still had carburetors.

The Shelby Mustang is a performance muscle car from the 1960s. It was a series of Ford Mustangs which were specially modified by Carroll Shelby's company and sold as a series. The program was factory-sponsored and production was eventually moved in-house. The spirit of the series continues today in the special Mustang Cobra models.

The Citroën Dyane is a supermini produced by the French automaker Citroën from 1967 to 1983. It was based on the famous Citroën 2CV, and 1.4 million Dyanes were produced. The Dyane spawned a panel van version called the Acadiane.

The Alfa Romeo 1900 was a sports sedan designed by Orazio Satta for the Alfa Romeo company in 1950. It was Alfa Romeo's first car built entirely on a production line and was also Alfa's first production car without separate chassis.
